About Your Advisor
Lynn Hunter is an independent, licensed multi-state insurance advisor based in Sarasota and serving Sarasota, Manatee and Charlotte County. She built her practice on a simple idea: people make good decisions when someone takes the time to explain the options honestly — including when keeping your current coverage may be the right choice.

Most people meet an insurance agent at a stressful moment — a birthday that triggers Medicare, a retirement date, a diagnosis, the death of a parent. Lynn's job is to make that moment calmer. She starts by listening: what you own, who depends on you, which doctors you trust, what would genuinely worry you if it happened next year.
Only then does she talk about products. Because she is independent, she can shop multiple highly rated insurance carriers and put the comparison in front of you side by side — premiums, networks, benefit definitions, financial-strength ratings and the trade-offs each option carries. If your current coverage is already the right fit, she will tell you so and put the meeting to better use.
Lynn has lived in the Sarasota area since 1989 and now resides in the neighboring community of Palmetto, FL. That local knowledge matters more than people expect — from understanding local provider networks and hospital systems to helping clients evaluate pharmacy access and insurance options available in their area.
Lynn is licensed in multiple states and is able to obtain a non-resident license in any state where her clients need help. So whether you are in Florida full-time, a snowbird splitting the year, or a family member trying to coordinate coverage from across the country, she can work with you — or guide you to a qualified colleague if another state is a better fit.

Lynn meets clients in person throughout Sarasota, Manatee and Charlotte County — at your kitchen table, your condo clubhouse, a Lakewood Ranch or Port Charlotte coffee shop — and by phone or video when that is easier. Snowbirds who split the year between Florida and a northern state are welcome; Lynn regularly helps part-year residents coordinate coverage that travels with them.
